Import Data from Google Earth
Caddie 31 can read points, polylines and polygons exported from Google Earth in KML or KMZ format.
Georeferenced Surveyor General Diagrams
Several enhancements for reading and manipulating Latitude and Longitude, Screen and Survey points. You can now quickly and easily add your SG Diagrams, georeferenced in any coordinate system.
GIS: Export to Google Earth
Export points and polylines to KML or KMZ format for sharing georeferenced schemes in Google Earth.
Preview Displayed when Managing Saved Views
When a new view is created, a picture of the view is embedded in the drawing allowing for easy identification of the views.
Scope Flag Enhancements
New right click options on the scope flags to switch them all off or on in one easy click.
Reshowing Hidden Objects
Functionality has been added to unhide some or all hidden objects.
Visual Improvements to Polyline Selection
Selection is updated after each click making it easier to ensure nothing gets missed.
Named Selections
A new function to allow multiple selections to be named and easily recalled is added allowing repeated selections to be performed faster and more easily.
Object Properties: Multiple Mtext Background
The four properties for MText backgrounds have been added to object properties for multiple MTexts.
Text Editor: Save and Close
The Text Editor can be closed, entering the text with Ctrl-S.
‘Reset Texts’ Added for Multiple Dimensions
Added for the case where multiple dimensions have had the text overridden manually and the user wants to reset them to show real values.
Object Properties: Polylines
Open / Closed options for multiple polylines have been added.
Object Properties: Blocks
Annotative property has been added for multiple blocks.
Delete Duplicates
Delete Duplicates checks for duplicate hatches and if started with the SHIFT key held down, allows searching of only a specific area of the drawing (by rectangle).
Copy Measurement to Clipboard
A new command has been added to copy the last linear measurement to the windows clipboard for use in other programmes.
Picture Manager
The Picture Manager now has the option to update the path of multiple pictures simultaneously.
Auto Backup Before Printing
An option has been added to do a backup prior to printing, ensuring that no data is lost if there is a power outage during printing.
Viewports: Auto-set Rendermode
New checkbox added to optionally automatically set the rendermode to 2D wireframe if the viewport is ‘Top View’.
Viewport Sheet Selection: Sort Order
Right clicking the list, allows the order of the sheets to be changed between alphabetical and Tab order.
Parking Bays: Several Enhancements
Parking enhanced to allow bays at 90, 60 and 45 degrees and to take account of line markings widths.
Renumber Multiple Parking Bays
A command to quickly and easily renumber multiple parking bays has been added.
Polyline: Convert to Slab, Roof or Walls
New ‘convert to’ options added: To Roof, To Slab.
Walls from Polylines:
Walls from Polyline now determines the elevation of the walls from either the polyline (if 2D / 3D is set to 3D) or from the UCS (if 2D / 3D is set to 2D).
Creates walls from multiple selected polylines
Copy Windows and Doors: Change the Origin
Copy Window, Door or DWA has a command line option to change the origin.
Levels: Insert New Level
Insert level added, allowing new levels to be added between any existing ones.
Wall: Fillet
The fillet command now allows filleting of straight walls.
Slab: Recreate Outline
Slab outlines can be recreated from closed Polylines.
Survey Write Co-ordinate Text
Show / write just X, Y or Z, or any combination. Heights can be chosen by snapping to objects or by selecting existing points.
DTM: Label Contours
Existing contours can have their heights labelled.
DTM: Triangulate
Triangulate has an option to ignore triangles greater than a certain size, significantly reducing the editing required on some sites.
GIS: Coordinate Format Conversion
Set CRS and Set location can now take coordinates pasted as one string and also coordinates in Google Earth format.
GIS: Search and Download Specific Erf Number
ArcGIS has a new query function to only load items with a specific field value.
GIS: Scheduling from ArcGIS
ArcGIS attributes to propertydefs added, allowing the attributes to be scheduled.
GIS: Google Elevation Data
A new command for getting elevation points from Google has been added, allowing quick and easy terrain modelling just by defining the site extents.
Solids: Volume
Volume property has been added to Object Properties.
