All the pattern/element mark / select and unmark / select commands

   Mark / Select

All the pattern or object mark (select) and unmark (unselect) commands.

These command can be used either to MARK objects, or SELECT objects.

Marking (default colour is Cyan) and Unmarking requires the use of these commands and normally anything marked will remain marked until an unmark command is executed. Unmark scope (shift+u) will remove all marking.

Selection is less permanent and by default any objects selected will use a magenta colour to indicate the selected objects. Objects can also be selected by directly using the mouse by selecting the required objects and un-selected by re-selecting selected objects.

Selection also has the advantage in that the context menu is directly related to selected objects. Marking however has to use the selection type of MARKED in dialogue boxes.

see Object_Selection for further selection details
