COMMAND:
Mark polygon

AIM:
Mark all the patterns/elements inside or outside an indicated polygon for manipulation.

EXECUTION:
Select the required option on the dialogue box: Patterns inside, elements inside, patterns outside or elements outside the block. Indicate the polygon in a clockwise direction and close the polygon with Option-End (E on the icon menu). All the patterns/elements inside/outside the indicated polygon will be marked.

EXTENTS & BOUNDS:
The status of the Auto clear switch (ON or OFF) will determine when patterns and elements must be marked for manipulation. The auto clear switch can be toggled on the status bar.
Set the highlight preference on the Settings menu to Marked, Bright or Dotted to see clearly what is currently marked.
