Aim of the course
To provide an easy to follow introduction to .DWG drafting and modelling with Caddie, enabling those completing the course to be able to draw accurately to scale, add Text, Dimensions, Leaders, Hatching and standard title sheets to their drawings, then arrange them for printing using scaled Viewports on print Layout Sheets. Delegates will also learn how to produce architectural design drawings using Caddie's Build tools, creating a building model and deriving automated plan, section and elevation views from the model created.

Anyone wanting a fast introduction to construction based 2D drafting and 3D Object based CAD or wishing to update their present CAD skills to include the latest productivity enhancing drawing , modelling and editing functionality provided by the Caddie software.

· Manipulation of Objects
Introduction to Layering
· Introduction to use of Layering to aid presentation and content editing
· Creation and assignment of Layers
· Layer Selection and display, and the creation of Layer Display Groups
Drawing Finishes
· Entering and editing Text including an introduction to Text Styles
· Entering and editing Dimensions including an introduction to Dimension Styles
· Creation and editing of Solid, Gradient, Pattern and Line Hatches
Dynamic UCS
· Introduction to use and manipulation of the UCS in 2D and 3D to define the working plane
Using Caddie's AEC Tools to Create Building Plans + Automated Elevations and Sections
· Using Caddie's AEC tools to draw simple building plans with instruction on the setting out of walls, insertion of doors and windows, floor slabs, stairs, railings and roofs
· Using the Levels tools to define floors within buildings and aid in the copying of Objects between Levels
· Creation of automated elevations and sections
Adding Predefined Content
· Inserting Blocks Symbols and Pictures into drawings
Configuring Drawings for Printing
· Configuring print Layout Sheets
· Configuring Plot Styles to define the colour and thickness of lines printed
· Creating scaled Viewports
· Inserting pre-defined Title Sheets
