PSLTSCALE

PSLTSCALE (Paper Space Line Type SCALE)

This variable changes the way the scale of entities will plot and it is a sheet specific setting.

If set to False (0) the scale of any entities on a sheet will plot using the scale of the viewport used.

As an example, insulation lines drawn on the model would ideally be scaled to match the scale of the viewport in order to show the correct representation. On the other hand, a centre line. If scaled to the viewport , it would not display in a readable scale particularly at very small scales.

Sheet (VP scale = 1:10) PSLTSCALE =FALSE

Sheet (VP scale = 1:20) PSLTSCALE =FALSE

If set to True (1) the scale of any entities on a sheet will plot using the scale of the model irrespective of any viewport scale.

As an example, insulation lines drawn on the model would now be scaled to match the scale of the model and would not be a true representation by the viewport scale On the other hand, a centre line would not be scaled to the viewport , and therefore would display at a constant scale, that of the model.

Sheet (VP scale = 1:10) PSLTSCALE = TRUE

Sheet (VP scale = 1:20) PSLTSCALE = TRUE

As can be seen from the above, some lines are best suited to a viewport scaling (insulation) and others aren't (centre lines). It is for these reasons it is recommended to set this PSLTSCALE to “0”. This will allow the complex vector linestyles (insulation etc.) to be scaled.

For the standard linestyles (dashed, centre etc.) it would be better to use the equivalent Caddie Pixel linestyles (those starting with P...) as these are not affected by scaling.

As mentioned, this setting is sheet specific and should be set when setting the sheet up.

The default is Ticked, “PSLTSCALE =True” (Scale Viewport Linestyles)
