Congratulations to Vic du Preez, one of our long term team members who competed in the 16^th International Shotokan Development Karate Championships. The championships were held on the 3^rd of September 2011 in Stellenbosch between the international teams of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia and Vic won 2 gold medals - in Kata and Kumite.

Vic was selected to represent South Africa as a member of the Karate Academy of South Africa National Development Team, having competed in the Brown - Black Belt division in the age group 40 to 50.

Vic’s excellent performance ensured his inclusion in the South Africa team for the 6^th JSKA World Karate Championships in Cancun, Mexico next year.
